Unity in Christ

This is post #4 of this series…The Seven Guiding Principles of Shepherd’s Fold Ranch. The first three are: Relationship, Stewardship, and Discipleship. Be sure to check those out. Today’s post is Unity.

Shepherd’s Fold Ranch will maintain a unity that reveals to people that God loves them and sent His Son to die for them. IMG_8034

John 3:16-17 says, “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.” Matthew 28:18-20 says, “Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

During Staff Training, one of the phrases we teach the staff members is “It is better to be together than to be right.” Community plays a big role in a believer’s life. It’s a group you live life with—your ups and your downs. Most things that people argue over aren’t really important at all (i.e. what to eat for dinner, what to name the dog, how to set the table, etc.). What matters is standing together in unity with Christ.
